OSSM has been an amazing experience for me. Although the classes are challenging, they interest me and stimulate my mind in ways that my home school never could. However, the community has had the most profound impact on me; it is clear to me that wherever I go, I will never meet people or have a community quite like the one at OSSM.

OSSM changes you in a way that you don’t initially see or realize. It’s only now, looking back on where I am and where I could have been, that I can see how my time at OSSM changed my life completely. OSSM challenged me academically, physically, and psychologically, bringing me experiences and opportunities that I could never have even imagined. These experiences are priceless to me; I would not trade them for the world.

OSSM has changed my life because it challenged me academically as student. Growing up, I wasn’t the smartest nor the best at academics, but I enjoy a good challenge because it conditions my commitment and perseverance. In addition, OSSM gave me close relationship with other like-minded individuals, living and learning with each other.

Being at OSSM has driven me to focus more on my academics, and it has taught me how to utilize my time well. I constantly find myself surrounded by supportive peers and teachers, and . . . I will always be thankful for OSSM and everyone that I’ve met here, because through this school, I’ve found a new and more confident “me” that I know will thrive in the future.

OSSM helped me the find the people that care about me and push me to be better every day.

OSSM has really given me the challenge I have always looked for… [and] significantly increased my confidence when it comes to taking and handling challenging academic courses. Even during a worldwide pandemic, the faculty have been supportive, understanding, and caring! The resources and opportunities we get at this school are something I would never have gotten at my home high school!

OSSM offers me an academic challenge I would have never gotten at my home high-school. This certainly allows me to push myself to my best potential so that in the future I will continue to have a good work ethic, as well as the ability to overcome any obstacles in my way!

OSSM prepared me for a petroleum engineering undergraduate program which helped me start my first semester of college as a sophomore and have a higher GPA after that first semester.   (See more of Tyler’s story HERE!)

Going to OSSM was the best decision of my life.  Students who attend here are challenged to overcome any and all obstacles that come their way in the academic world.  My experience here has been nothing but amazing.  This is the best school in Oklahoma and the nation.
